Your words are a trap

While it might seem fun to laugh at the grandma in the elevator who when asked "are you going down?" responds with "I'm not going down in Jesus name", it's important to note that she has just mastered the art of minding what she says.

How often do we find ourselves in the company of friends and because we want to "feel among" say things that we know we shouldn't or are rejecting in our minds but voicing with our mouths.

The bible says the tongue is very powerful, a person who can control his tongue can control his whole body.

What do you say when you discuss your marriage or future marriage with friends. Are you quick to say "if it doesn't work, we'd get a divorce?" or "I can't let any man or woman control me o"...and you keep wondering where is my man or woman. Well, in marriage, there's mutual respect and submission that will seem like "control", so have you been rejecting marriage all the while without intention?

Sexlessness is a Sin!!!

Hello married people. Long post alert but please try to read it through. I stumbled into a playful conversation with a couple in church on Sunday who said they were considering leaving a Christian couples group due to our perceived 'vulgarity' especially in the area of sex and bedroom references. 😳😅 Of course, while I could tell they meant it playfully, I couldn't shake the feeling that many who silently observe in the group carry the same impression and would probably whisper in private conversations that "are you sure these people are born again?" The rate at which prices have been skyrocketing in Nigeria in the past few months....our source can be none other than God. God makes provision through man and how man manages the resources God gives to him is very crucial. The husband has a primary responsibility to provide for the home, so while his income might not change in this period, the wife has to spend with knowledge and understanding. How can we make these better financial decisions at this time? - Both husband and wife should be totally transparent about the state of their finances. This way, the wife knows how much she can spend without putting the husband in debt - Create a budget for shopping and restrain yourself from going overboard by more than a maximum of 5/10%. We know sometimes you'd spend more than you planned but have limits please. - Look for alternatives to your regular items. Beauty without Morals

The yorubas say "obinrin sowanu, o ni oun o mori oko waye". This means a woman lacks good morals and complains that she doesn't have a husband. Beauty is good, but wisdom and good morals are better. See this scripture, it says that beauty is wasted on a lady if she doesn't have good morals, imagine! So, to the men that think all they need is a hot chick, I hope the beauty will be enough to keep you going in trying times. To the ladies who think BBL is the way to go to keep a man...time will tell. A lady with good morals will give you peace of mind. You are fortunate if you have a lady who has both good morals and a beautiful look. However, if you have to choose between beauty and good morals, the bible has pointed you in the right direction.
