One of the best words I have read regarding marriage is "see through the eyes of your spouse".
I might have paraphrased that but I read it when I was about 19 or 20 years old. It means that you see things as your partner sees them, putting them first, not yourself first.
This is also quoted in scripture in 1 Cor 13 as "love is not self-seeking".
When you both put the other person's needs before yours, it's a beautiful combination for satisfaction in marriage. However you choose to look at it, both in and out of the bedroom. Each person, seeking the other's smile and joy all the time.
Marriage is beautiful when you both are selfless!
